At Retainers at Home, we consider the privacy of our visitors to be extremely important. This privacy policy document describes the types of personal information we collect and how we use it.
When you place an order or register on our site, we may collect the following information:
Like many websites, we make use of log files. These files log visitors to the site as a standard procedure for hosting services. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and the number of clicks. This information is used to analyse trends, administer the site, and track user movement around the site. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any personally identifiable information.
Retainers at Home uses cookies to store information about visitors' preferences, to record user-specific information on which pages the site visitor accesses, and to personalise web page content based upon visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.
With your consent, we use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. These tools only run after you accept cookies via our cookie banner; if you decline, they are not loaded.
Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, measures site traffic and usage, such as pages viewed, products viewed, items added to cart, and completed orders, using cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Microsoft Clarity: we partner with Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and session replay, to improve our products and services. This is captured using first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. Clarity masks sensitive content, such as text you type, by default. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
With your consent, we use Google Ads to measure which of our adverts lead to orders. This tells us which adverts are worth paying for. It does not change the price you pay, and we do not use it to make any decision about you.
When you arrive on our site by clicking one of our Google adverts, the web address you arrive on contains a click identifier generated by Google. So that we can still match your visit to the advert if you accept cookies a moment later on a different page, we hold that identifier temporarily in your browser's session storage as soon as you arrive.
Until you accept cookies, that identifier stays on your own device. It is not sent to Google, it is not sent to us, no cookie is set, and it is not used for advertising. If you accept cookies, it is passed to Google Ads so your order can be matched to the advert you clicked. If you decline, it is deleted immediately. Either way it is erased when you close the browser tab, and it is never kept for longer than 90 days.
Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data it receives. You can read how Google uses this information in Google's Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We use the information we collect to:
We may use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending emails or processing payments. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes, provided you have given us your permission.
