The problem we set out to solve
After years of orthodontic treatment, millions of people across the UK are told they need to wear a retainer indefinitely to keep their teeth in place. The problem? Retainers wear out, get lost, or break — and replacing a full upper and lower set typically costs £200–£500 through a dentist or orthodontist, requiring multiple appointments.
The retainers themselves are made in a dental lab from a piece of clear plastic that costs a few pounds. The material and the process are identical whether you pay £90 or £500. The difference is almost entirely the clinical overhead, appointment costs, and dental practice margin.
We thought there had to be a better way — and there was. With a simple home impression kit, a proper dental lab, and a straightforward online process, we can offer the same quality retainers for a fraction of the usual price.
